Pt. Shri Pyarelal Bhat
Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them. Pt Pyarelal was a spiritual unification of all these three elements of life.Born to a very noble and charitable family of Late Pt. Shri Ragho Ram Bhat & Late Smt. Tarawati of Sopore, Kashmir in 1936, Pt. Pyarelal left for heavenly abode in the intervening night of March 15 and 16, 2015. He was the greatest and most lovable father who was sensitive even to the tiniest of our needs and desires. He was truly the creator and architect of our lives. From a very humble beginning, while he graduated from Kashmir University and started his career as a teacher, he soon got an opportunity to join the J&K Police and held many important portfo lios such as CID In-charge Sopore division. Because of his abilities and keenness to understand people, and because of his excellent communication skills, selfless service and dedication, he was highly regarded by his peers and seniors.On the personal front,
besides being a God fearing & noble human being, he was extremely loveable, obedient son, caring husband and a loving father. He always remained grounded and connected to his family and community at large.
In times when people choose career over family, he always chose family and preferred to sacrifice many important promotions and live a modest life but never compromised on his family values. Pt. Shri Pyarelal Bhat moved to Delhi in the year 1984 and got assigned to Delhi Police, PM Security on deputation. Here again, although being from another state, he excelled and impressed his seniors with his personality & smart work, and as such was entrusted with important VIP assignments covering security arrangements for President , Prime Minister etc. As a result of his excellent track record, he was eventually absorbed in Delhi Police.
Pt. Shri Pyarelal Bhat Post retirement he remained very active and joined Kashmiri Sewak Samaj, Faridabad to continue serving the community. To the Kashmiri Samaj, he was more than just a sincere and honest person, the integration of his dedicated and well-meaning personality earned him the utmost regard in society. He was thus entrusted with many responsibilities and played instrumental role in successfully liaising with district administration for issuance of migrant certificates to baradari members. He would attend Sharika Mandir pooja without fail and would contribute in whatever way he could towards the social and religious cause. He would always offer his prayer to Mata with his famous bhajan of Mata Rajrani Rani
Brari and will always be remembered in Sharika Mandir for his Taher. Irrespective of the fact whether he was in town or not, he always ensured that Taher reached Sharika Mandir every Sunday; a ritual that still is being followed without fail. Community Service He retired from his illustrious service in 1995.
A great disciple of God with unbelievable faith in the Almighty, he believed that God exists and will take care of everything. He often said “Keep doing good things irrespective of their outcomes; rest does not matter” and with every passing day, God only strengthened his belief in him. No matter what the circumstances, he continued his devotion and prayers to his Almighty to the extent that he breathed his last at the doorstep of Lakshmi Narayan Mandir in Green Field.
To the world, he will always be remembered as an ever-smiling person, a warm-hearted and soft-spoken persona, someone who would easily mingle with anyone and of any age and someone who was always welcoming. His gentle warmth will always remain on this land as someone who extended a helping hand towards the needy, neglected or the under privileged, young or old, relative or stranger. He was truly a God’s gift to us and has left behind a legacy to follow.
The vacuum that his loss has left behind can never be fulfilled but his spirit shall remain forever to bless the community. To pay true homage to him, Mr R K Bhan Ex -President of KSS Faridabad announced to provide financial support of Rs. 50000/- per year to one deserving child for education. Similarly Dr. Kiran Bedi led NGO, Navjyoti India Foundation has also dedicated one of their program ‘Khoj”in his memory. We remain indebted to them for their love, gratitude and respect. This project aims to create an inquisitive and enabling environment to promote scientific aptitude amongst rural children.
A room in the rural campus of Navjyoti India Foundation in Naya Gaon, Sohna Block will be dedicated in his memory which will be equipped with science instruments. The focus will be to enable children to question, explore and discover in their environment using simple techniques. Every year, the announcements will be made in the rural areas to encourage kids to make projects starting Dec 30 on the date of birth of Late Pt. Shri Pyarelal Bhat. And the projects made by children will be showcased on the day of ‘National Science Day’ i.e. Feb 28. Late Pt. Shri Pyarelal Bhat’s mantra throughout his life has been to live simple, have unparalleled belief in God and show immense respect and love for one and all. Pt.
